Here’s a useful tip I thought I would pass along. If you have a blog or blogs you really don’t want comments on you can globally disable them in your database. Here’s how:

Open the CPanel in your hosting account of contact whoever handles your hosting if you don’t have CPanel.
Access PHPMyAdmin and locate the database you want to apply the changes (if no PHPMyAdmin ask your DB Admin to run the querry for you).
Select the “Query” tab from the top.
Enter the following code in the query box:
UPDATE wp_posts p SET …

SimpleScripts Review

Lately things have been more complex and harder to keep track of. Like Michael Gerber describes in what may be one of the most important entrepreneurial books of all time “The EMyth,” as things grow and get more complex I begin screwing up. There’s just too much for one person to keep track of.
So, as we hire employees, do more work for more clients, and get involved with more and more things it becomes necessary to develop or employ some system of managing employees, suppliers, projects, tasks, etc…
That said, I’ve …

Low Cost Private Video Hosting with Amazon S3 Service

Okay guys I’ll try and get this right. Sorry, I just got back from a nice dinner(no, not a “niche” dinner…well kind of) - carne ranchera and some margaritas. Anyhow, if you’re looking for a rock-bottom bargain on private video hosting for membership sites and whatnot Amazon’s S3 service is the way to go.
At my last company I worked in business development. One of the projects I worked on involved online backup and storage. I learned that even many of the big players in that space use Amazon’s S3 to …

I recently switched the domain name of this blog to ESuccessJournal.com . In doing so I removed my old addon domain www.EntrepreneursSuccessJournal.com and pointed the new domain toward the directory where all my files were. The problem is that none of the posts would show up when clicked, and I couldn’t get into wp-admin either. Each time, they were trying to redirect to the old URL.
How to solve this:

Login to your CPanel or wherever you have access to the database that powers your Wordpress.
If CPanel go to PHPmyAdmin and locate …

Okay guys…these next couple videos should clear a few things up. You may be wondering… Where does Google get the information they display in the search engine ranking results?
I could tell you…but I think Matt Cutts, Google’s head search education dude will do a better job. Have a look. Next video we’ll talk about canonicalization and 301 redirects.

How to do Keyword Research (Video)

Building on the other keyword research video I made a while back, and as a response to some questions about keyword research I decided to make another video showing a simple, free, and effective way to do keyword research. There are plenty of good keyword research tools out there such as MicroNicheFinder and Keyword Elite, but the free albeit newly updated Google keyword tool does a fine job.

How to Autoblogging (Part 1)

I spent a lot of time last week working on Autoblogs. If you don’t know, autoblogs are blogs that are built using plugins that automatically update the content of the site by pulling data from various sources including feeds, Amazon, article directories, Ebay, and other sources.
Aside from monetizing these autoblogs with Amazon products and Ebay items you can also monetize them with adsense. Obviously, the idea is that we are creating little automatic cash machines.
So far the results have been pretty good. In less than two weeks one of my …

I want to share a very good article Google Page Rank with you

Hey guys,
Sorry, I have been going mad over some autoblogging stuff lately and haven’t posted much. I’ll be posting more pretty soon. I have some experiments going right now with autoblogs and site flipping I’ll post the results of those experiments soon.
For those of you who don’t know, autoblogging is the creation of highly targeted blogs that use a number of special plugins to automatically extract and generate relevant content which can be monetized in various ways such as Adsense, Amazon Associates Links, Ebay Partner Program, Clickbank and more.
I’ll get …

Tips for successful multilingual marketing

Today’s guest post is a bit different than what is normally covered on this site. I was approached a few weeks back by Nora Zavalczki from Lingo24 (a company that does translation services) asking if they could write an article for my blog in exchange for a link.
I said as long as the article is high quality and related to online business that would be fine. The article below is definitely different in tone and style but the content is interesting and relevant. So…have a read and weigh …

How to install Wordpress Blogging Engine…Fast (screencast video).

Okay, if you aren’t using WordPress for your websites you are making things harder than they have to be. Wordpress is officially a blogging engine. But really Wordpress is a tool that lets you create whole websites on the fly.
Some people call WordPress a light content management system (CMS) but it can really be extended far beyond what most people would consider a light CMS. I have used all kinds of CMS over the years including Joomla, Mambo, Drupal, AlstraSoft, SocialEngine, Boonex Dolphin, and many more and as far as …

This is the final installment in the review of WL Marketing’s directory submission service.
I signed up for the 2000 directory submission package spread over four weeks. The service was only $105. I thought regardless of the outcome, submitting to 2000 directories over four weeks is more than I am willing to do for $100 bucks, so why not.  I felt for  a while that it was a complete waste of money but perhaps I didn’t give the service enough time.
I still question the quality of the links and directories my …

I am going to be honest, pay per click advertising(PPC) can be downright frustrating. It seems like most times I use PPC I end up getting killed. The reason I am thinking this way at the moment because this was a particularly expensive week for me using PPC to no avail.
The late Gary Halbert, copywriter and direct marketing maven was once quoted as saying something to the effect of “whatever business you think you are in you’re wrong. You are in the business of arithmetic.” And of course, after thinking …

To be  fair about things I gave WLMarketing the benefit of the doubt. I asked them the following question:
“By now, you have reportedly submitted my site to several hundred directories. Some of them have accepted the site and some have not.
However, when I type in link:www.entrepreneurssuccessjournal.com in the google toolbar I get the following message:
Your search - link:www.entrepreneurssuccessjournal.com - did not match any documents.
I cannot find even one other link to my site from any of the work you claim to have done. Additionally, I have seen absolutely no change …

About a month or so ago I thought I would conduct an experiment to see if the directory submission service offered by WLMarketing would improve my page rank, traffic, or backlinks.
First of all, If you think I am going to give you a phony review with an affiliate link to WLMarketing you’re wrong. I’ll be honest, I would if I thought the service was of any real value but at this point I feel the $105 dollars I spent was a waste of money.
I signed up for the following …

There may be cases when you want to promote a legitimate product through Pay Per Click advertising and send visitors directly to the merchant’s sales page. In many cases this is prohibited by merchants even in cases where it is not Google has a one ad per domain rule.
In an effort to provide Google’s users with more relevant search results Google created a rule stating that they would show only one ad per search when multiple marketers were using the same display URL. Obviously, the effect this has for marketers …
